As you all know, we are on a TIGHT budget.
We have to be.
We are adopting :)
I can not justify spending a lot of making my home nice, when there is a kid out there that needs a home.
Now, I still want to make my home nice.
That is where Pinterest and our given talents come in handy.
We have been BUSY!
Here are some projects we have been working on.
ALL of these projects (plus 1 more) cost $25 TOTAL.
Now this does include us having items already.
Hopefully this inspires you to do some cheaply brilliant projects!
Hot air ballons in Boo's room.
Cost- $7
Chinese lanterns, old jewelry boxes wrapped with twine, twine fro the rope and filled with little figurines. (Mickey, Eeyore, and Brutus :))
Very cute and affordable idea to lift your eyes up.
No need for an expensive chandelier or light fixture! :)
Necklace holder
Cost- FREE!!!
Love this!! I had this old frame in the garage, painted it with left over paint. The sticks are literally from the front yard, covered in mod podge to make stronger.
I also am in the process of making a frame to hold bracelets!
Mail holder
Cost- Free!!
Used old cereal box and covered with scrapbook paper I already had.
Great for the mail to go here and not in random piles all over the house! (Yes, I am a pile-er)
Cost- FREE!!!!
These are made out of old wood pallets. We get them for free from Z's work!
Z cut and sanded them and stained them with left over stain!
These are amazing!!! And high enough to be out of reach for years!
Wreath
Cost- $7
I found the wreath at Walmart for $3 and the letter AC Moore for $4. The flowers I made out of ribbon I had. This one is way more simple than most out there, but I love it!
The M is painted with chalkboard paint, so I can write little notes on there. Like Happy Easter?? Cute!
Lost sock board
Cost- Free!!
This one is a little more creative. We used leftover laminate flooring left in our garage from previous owners, chalkboard paint, clothes pins. Everything we already had!
This one is amazing! I use to have a stupid lost sock bag that never had a "place", so you could never find it! Now this is wonderful!!
We also painted our dining room table with chalkboard paint, loved it.... then ruined it. :( The wet markers everyone told me to get, didn't clean off. Hopefully that will be done soon!
If you have any awesome project I need to do, share them!! Loving Pinterest!
